SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna — On July 16, San Pablo City Administrator Larry Amante and several city officials met with barangay heads in San Pablo to discuss the city's simultaneous rise in dengue and COVID-19 cases.
According to Dr. Dina Caponpon, Assistant City Health Officer, San Pablo is the second town with the highest number of active cases of COVID-19 in the entire Laguna. At the same time, it is the leader in having the most dengue cases in the province. Hence, it is crucial to continue the implementation of health protocols, and mosquito control methods continue.
Dr. requested James Lee Ho, Concurrent City Health Officer and Chief of Hospital of San Pablo City General Hospital, is unity all to address the health problems experienced.
According to Ho, the barangays need to intensify the encouragement of vaccination in their respective areas as additional protection against the disease.
As a step, Amante immediately ordered the City Health Office to provide an immediate solution and intensify activities to prevent the increase of Covid-19 and dengue in the city, implementing health protocols and expanding the campaign in vaccination.
