CAVINTI, Laguna — Cavinti's local government is currently exploring using a digital payment system as an alternative payment method for office transactions.

Mayor Arrantlee Arroyo met with other local government officials at GCash recently to discuss the benefits of using a digital wallet for its transactions.



According to Arroyo, using the online payment system will benefit residents in remote areas and tourists visiting their town.

“Isa rin po ito sa layunin ng inyong lingkod upang makapagbayad ang mga nasa malalayong lugar at mapadali ang transaksyon ng ating mga mamamayan kasama na ang mga turista para sa pagbabayad ng mga Real Property Taxes, Business Permit, Water Bill at Entrance Fees sa ating mga Tourist Spots,” said Arroyo.



Arroyo added that they would meet again with GCash to organize such an initiative.

“Muli po natin itong pagpupulungan upang maisaayos at tunay na maisakatuparan ang napakagandang programang ito para sa gARANTisadong progreso ng ating mga mamamayan,” he said.
