BATANGAS CITY - Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) trainers in the city are undergoing training for the third level of the 2022 CBMS Nationwide Rollout, sponsored by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in collaboration with the city government.
It recently began at the Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas (CLB) as part of the preparations for the August census of households in each barangay.
The City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) has 17 employees attending the training in person, while others are participating online.
They include staff from eight provincial and local governments scheduled to conduct the CBMS.
Part of the eight-day training is the concept, definition of terms, answering questionnaires using a tablet, and so on.
Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) staff led by PSA-Batangas Chief Statistical Specialist Raul Maximo Tolentino served as resource speakers in training.
"Napakahalaga ng mga makokolektang data dahil ito ang magiging basehan sa pagbubuo ng mga plano at priority programs para sa mga mamamayan", said Tolentino.
Next, he said, the city's 355 enumerators will undergo training.
He added that the census expects to be completed in October, and the data collected will be available next year.
