TAYTAY, Rizal — Members of the Sangguniang Kabataan of San Isidro, Taytay, proudly shared that they had won four awards in the previous 3rd Philippine Sangguniang Kabataan Awards.
They received the Outstanding SK Council Award nationwide for their perseverance and honest public service to fellow youth.
Four of their projects were also recognized, including 'EDUK-AKSYON: Scholars as Agents of Change,' which received the Outstanding SK Project for supporting young people's education amid the pandemic, and 'Kalusugang: #ForEveryJuan,' which received the Special Citation Award for Health.
It also includes the 'Binibining San Isidro Charities' project, which received a Special Citation Award for Social Inclusion and Equity, and the 'Learn and Earn' project, recognized for Economic Empowerment.
Due to the unique recognition achieved, SK San Isidro extends its gratitude to those who believe in and support their abilities and projects.
“Asahan niyo po na aming ipagpapatuloy ang aming mabuti at malinis na pamamahala, tapat na serbisyo at makabuluhang mga programa,” SK San Isidro message.
The main objective of this important activity is to recognize the contributions of each Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councils to achieve a better and more progressive country by launching projects that will benefit each youth in various fields such as education, health, peace-building, economic empowerment, social inclusion, and equity and others.
Positive Youth Development Network, GoodGov PH, and Galing Pook managed this year's activity, which took place from the 11th to the 13th of August at the Boracay Newcoast Convention Center.
