SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna —In preparation for the December 2022 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) San Pablo City has opened satellite voter registration in SM City San Pablo.
According to City Administrator Larry Amante, the local government should conduct voter registration at the mall to provide a larger and more comfortable space for those who will register.
People 18 years old and above can register for barangay elections, while 15 to 30 years old can register for SK elections. The voter must have lived in the current barangay for six months before the election.
COMELEC San Pablo reminds new and transferring voters, or those who need to be reactivated, to bring a valid ID with a written address. Some of the IDs accepted are student ID, library card, employee ID, postal ID, Senior Citizen ID, Driver's License, TIN ID, NBI Clearance, passport, SSS/GSIS (UMID), I.B.P. ID, P.R.C. ID, PWD ID, and other valid IDs. Must bring the original and photocopy of ID/requirement.
As for those who want to change the register's details, change entries, or update of civil status, it is necessary to bring an original and a photocopy of the birth certificate or marriage certificate.
Voters' registration opened this July 11 and will last until July 23. COMELEC will receive applicants from 8 am to 5 pm.
