LUCENA CITY - Mayor Mark Alcala recently led the Blessing and Turn-Over of the 5-story building of the Sacred Heart College of Lucena City Inc.
The program began with a mass led by Bishop Mel Rey Uy and followed by a flag-raising ceremony.
Visitratrix Sr. Maria Ana Rosario Evidente, DC, and Former General Councilor Sr. Maria Teresa Fatima Mueda, DC, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony in collaboration with the Provincial Curia and the SHC Board of Trustees.
In Sr. Evidente’s message, he asked everyone to take care of the said building and other school facilities so that future generations can benefit from it.
More than five hundred witnessed this historic day for Sacred Heart College by the school management, guests, stakeholders, donors, dignitaries, and public officials.
Also participating in the said ceremony were 2nd District Board Member Venneth Alcala and City councilor Benito ‘Baste’ Brizuela, Jr.
Alcala extends the SHC leadership’s congratulations and its support to the school, which is one of the City of Lucena’s partners in shaping students to have a quality education.
