BATANGAS CITY —The Department of Health (DOH) - Center for Health Development (CHD) Calabarzon opened Botika ng Bayan (BNB) in Tingloy as a pharmacy in the hopes of providing free and safe medicine to marginalized and indigent patients in the town.
According to Ariel Valencia, Regional Director of CHD Calabarzon, the government and private sector continue to collaborate to promote community pharmacies, particularly in remote areas of the region.
Medicines found in BNB include the following: vitamins, micronutrients, antacids, paracetamol, antibiotics, topical ointments, anti-thrombotic, anti-inflammatory, antihyperlipidemic, anthelmintic, and hypoglycemic. Even medicines for asthma, hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia are available here.
