SILANG, Cavite — In September, more than 37,000 students in public schools in Silang, Cavite, will receive free school supplies.

According to Mayor Kevin A. Anarna, it was delayed in distribution because it went through the necessary processes, such as bidding, under government regulations.



He stated that the priority would be to provide school supplies to young students in Day Care Centers, followed by Kindergarten and elementary school students.

“Sa mismong mga paaralan po natin ito ipapamahagi. Wala po tayong pipiliin, lahat po ng nag-aaral sa mga pampublikong paaralan ng bayan ng Silang ay makakatanggap,” said the mayor.



Anarna also shared that the local government saved a lot on the prices of school supplies due to his administration's 'no corruption policy' campaign.

“Unang una po nating sinasabi sa lahat ng suppliers at contractors na lumalapit sa munispyo na hindi tumatanggap si mayor at sino man sa munispyo. Wala pong SOP kaya pababain nalang po nila ang presyo para mas maraming serbisyo ang maibigay natin sa ating mga kababayan. Ang mga matitipid natin dahil walang corruption ay mapupunta sa taong bayan,” said Anarna. — PIAGOVPH4A
