LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Quezon Governor Helen Tan has called on all residents of the province of Quezon to join the efforts of local governments to eradicate the spread of dengue in the province.
The call was announced by Gov. Tan at the launch of the program "Pasa sa Henerasyong Healthy, Balik Sigla sa Pagbalik Eskwela" of the Department of Health held at Dolores Macasael National High School in Candelaria, Quezon recently where the governor thanked the agency for the launch of the program.
According to Tan, it is the responsibility of every Filipino family to keep their environment and homes clean in order to help eradicate the spread of disease-carrying mosquitos.
“Sa muli pong pagbubukas ng klase ngayong Agosto, dapat ang pamilya ay kaagapay ng paaralan at pamahalaan sa pagsugpo laban sa dengue,” the governor said.
Meanwhile, Tan urged residents in the province's various towns to get COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters so that the province can achieve herd immunity for the entire population.
