BATANGAS CITY - The first day of students' limited face-to-face classes for the 2022-2023 school year has begun.
According to Gemma de Torres, Principal of Batangas City South Elem School (BCSES), their enrollment for kindergarten to Grade 6 students, as well as SPED and ALS students, has reached 1000 this year.
Despite the fact that they are already implementing full face-to-face classes for children Monday through Friday from seven a.m. to twelve p.m., he stated that health protocols are strictly followed.
There is alcohol, foot bath and thermal scanner in each classroom and there is social distancing for 30-35 students.
Their clinic, he said, will serve as an isolation area in case the child develops symptoms. Parents will also be called immediately so that their children can eat.
“Excited po ako at masaya sa muling pagbabalik sa paaralan, mas maiintindihan ko ang mga lesson at mas gaganahan din akong mag-aral" said grade 5 student Elizabeth Torana.
Balik Eskwela 2022 also went well at Batangas City East Elementary School (BCEES) although the power supply was lost for one and a half hours.According to Amparo Perez, Principal of the aforementioned school, a way was immediately made to restore the power supply so that the class could continue.
They have 1500 enrollees this year and are expected to increase this week.
He said they ensured the cleanliness and security of the school in Brigada Eskwela before the opening of classes.
The leadership of BCEES is very grateful for the support of the city government so that they have electricity.
