LUCENA CITY - The Quezon Provincial Government will hold various contests for the upcoming Christmas under the theme "Quezonian Christmas, Bida ang Pagmamahalan" through the Provincial Tourism Office.
Paskong Quezonian 2022's theme is not only Christmas, but also forgiveness, love, family, new bright beginnings, and healing.
Only one entry per town will be permitted to participate in the Christmas Tree Decorating Competition, which will begin designing the Christmas Tree Entry with the theme "Winter Wonderland" on November 4 at Block 2 of Perez Park in Lucena City.
The champion will receive P50,000, the first runner-up P40,000, the second runner-up P30,000, and a consolation prize of P5,000 for the said contest or Christmas tree decorating competition.
The Christmas Chorale Competition will also be held, and it is open to all Quezonians, whether they represent a school, parish, district, company, agency, or any other interested group.
The winner will receive P50,000, the first runner-up P40,000, the second runner-up P30,000, and a consolation prize of P10,000.
In the Quezonian Christmas Dish Cooking Contest, the dish to be prepared during the holiday season must be unique, new in taste, and use the main ingredients found in the province of Quezon.
The winner will receive P15,000, P12,000 for the first runner-up, P10,000 for the second runner-up, and P3,000 as a consolation prize.
Meanwhile, for the Puto Bumbong (with a twist) and Bibingka (with a twist) Cooking Competition, heal and enjoy cooking to win P15,000 for the champion, P10,000 for the first runner-up, P5,000 for the second runner-up, and P3,000 for the consolation prize.
