ANTIPOLO CITY - In Antipolo City, 386 residents from Barangay San Jose, Barangay Mambugan, and Barangay Mayamot voluntarily recently participated in the local government's Active Case Finding against Tuberculosis (TB).
The mobile clinic visited three locations, providing free Chest X-Rays to 83 residents of Barangay San Jose, 150 residents of Barangay Mambugan, and 153 Barangay Mayamot residents.
“Hindi lahat ng may TB ay may ipinapakitang sintomas. Tinuturing nga rin itong silent killer kaya naman napakahalaga na masuri ang mga baga ng mga TB suspects,” emphasized the local government.
Because of this, the rotation of the mobile clinic will continue with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Culion Foundation, access TB, and the Department of Health Region IV-A to deliver free screening to Rizalenyos.
The goal is to reduce the number of deaths due to the said disease, especially to keep away from its threat to individuals who are considered high-risk such as senior citizens, those with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), smokers, drivers, and many others.
