LIPA CITY, Batangas - Schools and students in various barangays and towns throughout the province of Batangas continue to benefit from Governor Mandanas' ongoing support for the educational program.

Six barangays from various towns in the Province of Batangas received new desktop computers during the Philippine flag ceremony on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Capitol in Batangas City.

The governor personally visited to give the computers to the representatives of Barangay Sampaguita of the Town of Bauan, Barangay Fernando Air Base of the City of Lipa, Barangay Mahabang Lodlod and Barangay Zone 2 of the Town of Taal, and Barangay Bañadero and Poblacion 6 of the City of Tanauan.

He also handed a laptop computer to Christopher Luna, the Federation President of Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) in the province.

Interactions between the said barangays and the Provincial Assistance for Community Development (PACD) office, which is part of the province-wide program that assists each barangay and community, made this possible.

These devices were expected to improve public service delivery.

Meanwhile, the administration and teachers of Padre Imo Luna Memorial Elementary School (PILMES) in San Jose, Batangas are grateful to the Provincial Government of Batangas for providing a two-story, four-classroom Home Economics (HE) building.

According to Elenita Cuenca, principal of PILMES, in addition to the tables and chairs that were given to them and are now being used by the students, equipment includes a gas range, refrigerator, freezer, range hood, water dispenser, working table, kitchen cabinet, and dining set has arrived.

The Provincial School School Board, led by Gina Ferriols, supervises the distribution of class materials.

Aside from PILMES, Calaca Central School, Nasugbu East Central School, Rosario East Central School, and San Juan West Central School all received similar facilities and equipment.

The Provincial Government of Batangas is still distributing tables and chairs to students and teachers. Nasugbu is among those blessed, as are schools in Calatagan, Lian and Tuy, Bauan, Lemery, Taal, and San Luis. The Capitol has distributed 3,180 tables and chairs, as directed by Governor DoDo Mandanas and led by the Provincial School Board.
