LUCENA CITY - The “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” (BIDA) program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for the City of Lucena Cluster was successfully launched at the Lucena City Police Station.
Various government offices and stakeholders lead the solidarity in the Simultaneous Launching of the program nationwide on November 26 to encourage the public to become staunch advocates for illegal drugs.
Several ranks of staff from the DILG Lucena, Lucena PNP, Quezon Police Provincial Office, PDEA Quezon, City Anti-Drug Abuse Office, BJMP and BFP, Liga ng mga Barangay, SK Federation, local youth organization of Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo and Ating Barkada Kontra Droga, and the local government led the operation.
The BIDA campaign in line with the Marcos administration’s commitment to continue the country’s drug war within the framework of the law, with respect for human rights, and with a focus on rehabilitation and socioeconomic development.
It also focuses the commitment of law enforcement agencies such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the National Bureau of Investigation to a more aggressive anti-drug campaign within the framework of the law, with human rights respect, and supplemented by rehabilitation and socioeconomic development.
