Laguna police destroy illegal firecrackers

STA CRUZ, Laguna - The Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) destroyed confiscated illegal fireworks and firecrackers recently, in Kampo Heneral Paciano Rizal, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Sta Cruz, Laguna.

Among them are 1,583 pieces of kwitis, 75 pieces of sparkles, 289 pieces of Six Rocket, 175 pieces of boga, 158 pieces of Judas Belt, 411 pieces of Fountain, 541 pieces of Big Lusis, 281 pieces of Roman Candle, 5 Spirit Whip piece, 14 Happy Ball pieces, 6 Spring Butterfly pieces, 1 Golden Spinner piece, 7 Mabuhay pieces, 18 Poppop pieces, 5 Sputnik Silver pieces, 1 Battery piece, 238 Five Star pieces, 3 pieces of Jumbo Silver, 34 pieces of Giant Garlic, 367 pieces of Giant Whistle Bomb, 10 pieces of Mother Rockets and 277 other firecrackers with a total value of P331, 664.



According to the Laguna PNP, they have intensified operations throughout the province against illegal firecrackers, in accordance with Republic Act 7183 or the Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution and Use of Firecrackers and directives of local governments.

The authorities also inspected those who sell firecrackers without a permit and will use them outside of the designated community fireworks displays.
