LUCENA CITY - The Provincial Government of Quezon received three awards from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which recently celebrated its 72nd founding anniversary at the Tagaytay International Convention Center, in recognition of its excellent implementation and support of the programs of the agency.
Quezon province received three PaNaTa Ko sa Bayan Awards - Most Comprehensive Report, Good Practice, and Most Responsive PSWDO - for its proper formulation of the LGU Compliance Monitoring Report in the recent Implementation of Social Welfare and Development (SWD) Laws Online Monitoring System for the 2nd Semester C.Y. 2021.
Anchored on this year's theme, 'DSWD@72: Kaagapay sa Pagbangon, Katuwang sa Bawat Hamon,' the celebration recognizes the DSWD workforce as champions of the Department's brand of sincere and trusted public service, as well as the institution's core strength in the performance of its mandate.
Provincial Administrator Manuel Butardo and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Head Sonia Leyson accepted three provincial special awards for the efficient implementation of Social Welfare and Development Laws, including the Most Comprehensive Report, Good Practice, and Most Responsive PSWDO Award.
Sampaloc was also recognized as a Model LGU for the implementation of Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens, as were Mulanay for their Day Care Services and Gumaca Supplemental Feeding Programs.
In a messge PSWDO Head Sonia S. Leyson said "Asahang mas pagbubutihan at patuloy na maghahatid ang pamahalaan ng dekalidad na serbisyo at programa sa ating mga kalalawigan."
