SAN ANTONIO, Quezon - The first hospital here was launched recently, promising high-quality health care to residents as well as those in neighboring municipalities.

Department of Health (DOH) Regional Director Ariel Valencia, together with Mayor Aniano Ariel Wagan Jr., Governor Doctor Helen Tan in collaboration with Senator Christopher “Bong” Go and other government and local officials led the launch of San Antonio Hospital.

Valencia said in a message that the DOH will support and assist in the necessary equipment for the hospital, and that they will continue to be the the town partner in providing medical care to their people.

Mayor Aniano Ariel Wagan Jr. said other components, such as maintenance and staffing, will be handled by the local government unit (LGU).

Doctor Angelina Tan, the governor of Quezon province, who appealed it in Congress alongside Sen. Bong Go, fully supported the national government's project.

There are also plans to relocate the town's Rural Health Unit to this hospital to provide basic services such as laboratory exams, ultrasound, X-rays, and other diagnostics.
