Working with color can be difficult for many creative people. This goes beyond simply selecting colors that are pleasing to the eye; color is relative and shifts depending on what an object brings with it. It is essential for every artist to understand its impact as well as the methods for producing the color combinations they desire.
For Zorrick Piñero Enriquez, a Batangas-based contemporary visual artist who goes by the moniker "Z." He claims that his creations are not just art but also a deeper connection to his vision, both as an artist and as a person. He is said to have seen the Lord in a dream when he was younger and considers this dream to be the beginning of his spiritual awakening as an artist.
He is a color expert. In his artwork, he conveys his emotions and the things he wants to say through the use of color. The said dream is incorporated into all of his works, and he believes that "the soul is essential to art."

"My goal as an artist is to share the beauty of everything, especially the beauty of God, who created us," Enriquez says in an interview.
The majority of Enriquez's well-known artwork depicts seascapes, landscapes, or skyscapes as the primary subject or theme of the piece. His work has garnered a lot of attention over the years. He is the perfect example of an artist who is continually growing spiritually and is engaged in discovery, learning, and development.

His works are known for their vibrant colors and bold strokes, which reflect his unique perspective on the world around him. Through his art, he wants to show people how beautiful nature is and how important it is to keep it safe for future generations.
When asked about the artists who have had the most influence on his art career, he named Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Rothko from the international scene, as well as Rene Robles, Sanso, Lino Acasio, and Nante Carandang from the local scene, citing their styles and personalities as the reason.

Even though he has a great deal of admiration for the work that other artists create, he is the first to admit that his own father is the inspiration for his art.
Like father, like son. His father, Ricardo Enriquez, was an artist as well, and he focused on portraiture in particular. When he was in middle school, he recalled telling his father that he too wanted to begin painting at some point.
"My father was a painter, and he possessed an exceptional eye for color in addition to his talent. As I was growing up, I was exposed to his artwork, and that experience had a significant impact on how I currently relate to color," he said.
He went to Batangas State University from 2012 to 2015 to get his Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts (Visual Communication) degree.
He was named "Consistent Artist of the Year" while still a student. He graduated and received a Diploma in Fine Arts (Painting) from The Artist's Academy of Global Knowledge of the Philippines in 2016–2018, which also recognized his skill and talent because he graduated "with honors."
According to other artists, Enriquez's work improves over time. This is a good thing because the world of art is constantly changing as new concepts, ideas, theories, and styles emerge. The fact that art movements from past centuries influenced art movements in later centuries is proof of this.

"Z" is a former resident artist at Shangri-la's Jen Manila. He also taught art at the Artist's Academy of Global Knowledge Philippines. He is also the art director of Grupo Sining Batangueño in Batangas City. He also serves as the artistic director of the Pintakha Art Society. He also belongs to organizations like GACCE USA, Museum de Pacis, Daloy - Likha International, and Philippine Pastel Artists.
His talent can't be missed, especially since he has won so many awards and been written about in so many articles, magazines, and books.
Just this February 27, 2022, he was awarded the award for "Outstanding Artist of the Year 2022" by the International Icon Awards. In 2021, the government of the province of Batangas gave him the "Batangas Artist Award for Visual Arts."
It's funny to think that Zorrick, a well-known and famous artist, is a true disciple not only in art but also in movies. He is also an actor in Filipino independent films. God's graces upon him are truly numerous, ranging from painting to mastery of many other hidden skills.
In 2011, director Joel Lamangan gave him the award for "Best Supporting Actor" in the film "Sa Mata ng Bata," despite the fact that he was one of the people with less public recognition.
With so much natural talent and success, what else could Zorrick P. Enriquez wish for?
Regardless, this accomplishment If you look closely, you'll notice that Zorrick's artwork always has a red balloon flying freely in the sky or on the beach because his philosophy is "Eyes on the Sky, Feet on the Earth." No matter how far he has come or will come, he remains and will remain humble.

When it comes to learning art, Enriquez believes that the basics are still important because they serve as a foundation for creating beautiful pieces of art.
"Nothing happens with a single click," he explained. "You must go through the process and do things correctly in order to achieve your goal," he added.
In order to keep a positive attitude during difficulties, he said he is making art that would spread his positive and colorful outlook to anyone who saw it.
His dusk and afternoon works convey the message that every sunset is associated with the start of a new day. Let us not give up hope because, as the sun sets, so do the problems. We will be given new hope and strengthened as the future dawns.
His heart and soul are always open to new experiences, discoveries, and transformations. The world and its beauty are his constant companions on his journey to greatness, and his canvas is his laboratory.
Mr. Zorrick only has two goals in mind. The first is to establish its own art school with the goal of focusing on the talent and ability of people who want to learn and have a strong passion and love for art. The second thing is the presence of free workshops in the school for people who want to cultivate their hidden ability and talent in the arts but are unable to study an art course because it is also not hidden from our knowledge that learning art requires money, time, and patience. That's why he keeps trying to help other people, especially young people with talent and promise.
