LUCENA CITY - Accolades and recognitions were bestowed upon the province of Quezon once more through awards won by the City Health Office in the recently concluded First Integrated Regional Awarding and Recognition of the Department of Health - Center for Health Development Calabarzon.

Considered the most sought-after and dubbed "Sulong CaLaBaRZon, Sulo ng Kalusugan: First Integrated Regional Awarding and Recognition," DOH Calabarzon, in collaboration with its partners, emphasizes the vital role of organizations and people's determination to soar high [sulong], act as one, and be the guiding light [or sulo] in bringing integrated, quality healthcare services to the people.



The CHO was hailed the 'City with the Highest Percentage of Jabs' during the Chikiting Bakunation Days 2022 and the 'City with the Highest Percentage of Jabs' for the End of Year Catch-Up Immunization 2022.

In addition, CHO was also recognized for its excellence and commitment to delivering and launching the family planning program.



Several CHO units, including its Health Education and Promotion Unit, received awards at the same ceremony for their significant contribution to achieving what is known as Universal Health Care or UHC under the region's health promotion campaign. "Healthy Calabarzon, Healthy Philippines!".

The regional office also recognized the Field Health Services Information System team for their continued dedication to submitting FHSIS reports for the overall improvement of health services in the region.



The city's local administration, headed by Mayor Mark Alcala, and councilors presented the CHO with the said recognitions in acknowledgment of the accolades received by the organization accepted by Officer Dra. Jocelyn Chua of the CHO.

In a message, the mayor expressed his pride in the honors bestowed upon the office, stating that they symbolized the local government's commitment to providing high-quality health care.
