MORONG, Rizal - The Morong Police Station received new state-of-the-art equipment as part of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Capability Enhancement Program FY 2022 to help boost its counter-terrorism capability.

Mayor Sidney B. Soriano personally attended the turnover ceremony recently along with Provincial Director – Rizal PPO, PCOL Dominic L. Baccay.



“This cutting-edge technology will improve our ability to prevent and respond to terrorist threats and other high-risk situations, allowing us to better serve and protect the Morong people," said Provincial Director – Rizal PPO, PCOL Dominic L. Baccay, who received the equipment.

"We'll make sure that this gear is put to good use and will considerably aid our efforts to keep our town peaceful and orderly,” he added.



Baccay thanked the PNP for the donation, which he said "will undeniably be a tremendous help in our ability to fulfill our mission to keep our communities safe from terrorist activity and other types of criminality."

PMaj. Rosalino E. Panlaqui, chief of Municipal Police Station Morong led the reception of new equipment such as 8 EMTAN Basic Assault Rifles, 1 GALIL Basis Assault Rifle, 3,240 Rounds of Ammos and magazines.



The police operation against criminality in the town of Morong is expected to be strengthened with the help of the new equipment in order to maintain peace and order in the area.
