LUCENA CITY - As part of the preparations that have been made to guarantee the public's safety throughout Holy Week, all of the units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Lucena City have been placed on high alert.

Although there aren't many passengers at the Lucena City Grand Central Terminal, security is tight, and the authorities are constantly reminding passengers and drivers to stay safe.

The PNP in Lucena has also deployed additional personnel to conduct random inspections of vehicles and passengers. They have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or items to the authorities immediately.

The Lucena Fire Patrol and representatives from the various other local government agencies are currently conducting patrols at the terminal in order to keep the peace and ensure the safety of the general public.

There is a police assistance desk located inside the terminal, and anyone can approach it with any questions or for any assistance they may require.

It has been reported that local authorities are getting ready for what is expected to be an increase in the number of passengers arriving for the Holy Week vacation.

Since the first of April, the police force has been on high alert in preparation for the Oplan Summer Vacation. A number of police assistance desks and motorist assistance centers have been established in Lucena City in order to provide assistance to passing motorists and pedestrians in the event of an accident.

Various locations, including airports, shopping malls, docks, and other public spaces, each have their own contingent of police officers stationed there. The authorities would like to remind the general public that in the event of a malfunction, they should not be afraid to approach them to ask for assistance and that they should immediately report anything suspicious that they see.

Although there is not a significant security threat that is being monitored at this time in Lucena City, the Lucena PNP is still on alert.
