MAGALLANES, Cavite - A recent medical mission was held by the Provincial Government of Cavite in Brgy. Kabulusan, Municipality of Magallanes. 147 locals got free checkups, medicines, and vitamin supplements.
Dr. Idgee Gabriel B. Bondoc, who led the medical mission program, said it's a big help, particularly for those with limited access to healthcare.
Along with Dr. Bondoc, midwives and nurses from the Cavite Provincial Health Office, and staff from the Office of the Provincial Governor—extension all worked together to make sure that patients got good medical care.
The medical mission program aims to provide medical assistance to those who cannot afford it and to promote health awareness in the community. The PGC plans to conduct more medical missions in other areas of the province to reach out to more people in need.
The medical mission program also includes health education and counseling to help the locals prevent illnesses and maintain good health. The local government here works with different groups and volunteers to make sure the program works and has the most positive effect on the community as possible.
Joselito Bascugin, Barangay Captain of Kabulusan, with other barangay officials and health workers, assisted the medical mission team in the smooth conduct of the program. He, then, thanked Governor Jonvic Remulla and the PGC for coming to their community and extending their services to their constituents.
