TANAY, Rizal — More than 150 parent leaders gathered in Barangay Sampaloc in Tanay town recently to celebrate the anniversary of the passing of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) .
The Tanay Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office organized the event to acknowledge the parent leaders' efforts in promoting the program's goals. During the celebration, various activities were conducted, such as a Zumba dance exercise and a feeding program for children.
Together with the local government of Tanay and representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the anniversary of the passage of Republic Act 11310, or the 4Ps Act, in the year 2019 was celebrated recently.
The importance of the beneficiaries in achieving the organization's goals was highlighted here. The DSWD and Tanay's local government also encouraged parent leaders to continue working together for the development of the 4Ps beneficiaries.
The celebration includes the honoring of Pantawid Family Parent Leaders and Pantawid Exemplary Children. The award's purpose is to recognize and support program beneficiaries who are working hard to change and improve their lives and the lives of their families.
Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco emphasized the importance of beneficiaries adhering to their rules, particularly by attending monthly Family Development Sessions.
He said that the local government continues to support the 4Ps and its beneficiaries, even those who have graduated from the program.
The 4Ps Provincial Links, the Department of Education, PhilHealth, and Punong Barangays also took part in the celebration.
