STA. CRUZ, Laguna - The National Irrigation Administration IV-A (NIA IV-A) conducted the Regional Stakeholders Forum, which was attended by heads, governors, and district representatives from the regions of Calabarzon and other partnering national agencies and held at the Cultural Center in Santa Cruz.
NIA Senior Deputy Administrator Engr. Robert Suguitan urges the Irrigators Associations, LGUs, national agencies to help each other to fulfill the program and also encourage farmers to join agribusiness and agro-entrepreneurial activity to increase income and opportunities not only in the field of rice production but also in the fields of livestock, aquaculture and other programs related to food production.
He said that this collaborative effort will not only benefit the farmers and the agriculture sector but also contribute to the overall economic growth of the country.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of sustainable farming practices to ensure long-term productivity and environmental conservation.
