ANTIPOLO, Rizal - The Provincial Development Council of Rizal supported and endorsed the implementation of the Department of Agriculture's Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) scale-up in the Regional Development Council of CALABARZON.

The scale-up aims to boost the agricultural productivity and income of farmers in Rizal through infrastructure development, market linkage, and enterprise development. This support from the Provincial Development Council of Rizal is expected to bring significant benefits to the agricultural sector in the region.

According to the National Economic Development Authority, which leads the RDC, this is a big step to fully implement the project not only in the province of Rizal, but in the entire region.

The DA-PRDP Scale-Up is a more expanded version of such a project that aims to accelerate the flow of agricultural products from production to sale by financing infrastructure or economic projects.

It will focus more on the stabilization of the agricultural sector, particularly on climate change, the rice and corn industries, and the clustered farmers' organizations.

DA-PRDP Regional Project Coordination Office CALABARZON (RPCO 4A) Project Director Engr. Marcos Aves, Sr., with the support of the provinces in the project.

As the sector and food security in the region continue to develop, he encouraged organizations and local governments to submit projects to RPCO 4A that can be funded under the DA-PRDP Scale-Up.

For those who want to submit a project for DA-PRDP Scale-Up, just contact RPCO 4A, located at the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office CALABARZON Lipa Agriculture Research and Experiment Station in Brgy. Maraouy, Lipa City, Batangas, or send an e-mail to prdp@calabarzon.da.gov.ph. (Myrelle Joy Bejasa, PRDP 4A InfoACE)
