BATANGAS CITY - The city's Early Childhood Care and Development Centers (ECCD) recently held a ceremony called Moving Up in which 360 daycare kids took part.
Mila Espanola, City Social Welfare Development Officer, said that the ceremony is an important step for the youth to feel valued and motivated in their education.
It also serves as a reminder to parents and communities to support and prioritize early childhood education.
She said that despite the pandemic that everyone is facing, the daycare workers (DCW) have successfully passed the aforementioned program of the city government.
The daycare children come from 18 barangays in Clusters 9 and 10, and the ceremony was held to commemorate their successful completion of the ECCD program.
The children were recognized for their accomplishments and encouraged to continue learning as they progressed to formal schooling.
The ceremony aimed to celebrate the children's progress in their learning and development, as well as recognize the efforts of their teachers and caregivers.
The ECCD program is a crucial component in ensuring that young children receive quality education and care during their formative years.
Mayor Beverley Dimacuha extended congratulations to the parents of the graduates and the day care children and thanked the DCWs for their hard work and dedication.
The theme of this year's Moving Up ceremony is "Batang Pilipinong Batangueno, Batang May Bukas, As long as we work together".
