BACOOR CITY, Cavite — More than 93,000 learners from 43 public schools here are expected to benefit from the Hope Project 2023 initiated by the city government in partnership with the Hope in Me Club and the Bacoor Federated Parents-Teachers Association.

The project, which encourages stakeholders’ participation, aims to help and support students by providing them with school supplies, food, clothes, medicines, and scholarship grants.

Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla recently launched the Hope Project 2023, together with Hope in Me Club founder Dr. Ma. Christina Ignacio-Alberto.

Revilla thanked the Hope in Me Club for partnering with the city government for the Hope Project 2023. He also appealed to the parents to be proactive in securing the future of their children.

“Kapag kabataan ang pinag-uusapan isa ito sa very sensitive para sa akin… Noon nangangarap tayo, nangangarap maabot ang isang bahay, posisyon, o isang professional, but still sa nakikita natin sa ating panahon ngayon, nagbago na ang pag-ikot ng mundo. Malaki na ang naambag ng kabataan ngayon,” the city chief said.

During the event, Mayor Strike also swore in 43 PTA Officers who pledged to give their dedication and support to every program and project that will positively imapact education.

Aside from partners from different industries, the event was also attended by City Councilors and unit heads who pledged their support to the project.

The HOPE Project is a collaboration between the Bacoor LGU, Office of Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla, Hope in Me Club, and the Federated Parent-Teachers Association. (Ruel Francisco, PIA-Cavite with reports from Bacoor City Information Office)
