SANTA CRUZ, Laguna - The offices of Governor Ramil Hernandez and Congresswoman Ruth Hernandez conducted a vaccination program at the Laguna Police Provincial Office in Brgy. Bagubayan in Santa Cruz , Laguna.

The program aimed to immunize police officers and personnel against influenza and pneumonia in order to strengthen their immune systems and prevent disease spread within the force.

Governor Hernandez emphasized the importance of ensuring the health and well-being of our frontliners, especially during these challenging times.

The governor has been actively promoting the importance of getting vaccinated against Influenza and COVID-19 to the people of Laguna. He believes that vaccination is the key to achieving herd immunity and ultimately ending the pandemic.

The Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO), the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), the Provincial Health Office (PHO), and the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC) are all partners in implementing various measures to curb the spread of the virus. These include strict adherence to health protocols, contact tracing, and isolation of confirmed cases.

Free Influenza vaccinations were accepted by 1400 Municipal and City Police Stations, officers, and non-uniform personnel for additional protection against the disease .

Moreover, the PSWDO also provides assistance to affected families through the distribution of relief goods and financial aid, while the PHO conducts regular monitoring and surveillance activities to ensure early detection and prompt response to possible outbreaks.

Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio expressed gratitude to the entire provincial government because the program is for the welfare and health of the police.

He stated that the additional protection and assistance provided by the PSWDO and PHO greatly aid in ensuring the well-being of their personnel. With this support, the police force can continue to carry out their duties and responsibilities while minimizing the risk of contracting and spreading the disease.

It can be remembered that the police are the frontliners during the peak of Covid-19, so they are among the vaccine preparations such as the influenza vaccine known as flu shots that provide protection against benefits. The role and duty of the police in the province is important so Governor Hernandez supports aspirations like this.

Furthermore, the vaccination of police officers will not only protect them but also ensure the safety of the community they serve. It is crucial to prioritize the vaccination of essential workers like police officers to maintain public order and safety during these challenging times.
