STA. CRUZ, Laguna - The Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Laguna, led by Vice Governor Atty Karen Agapay, recently approved Resolution No. 702 for the Canlubang-Bay Bypass Road and Development Project.
This is a Joint Venture Agreement between the Provincial Government of Laguna and the Ecotoll Road Development Corporation that aims to ease traffic in the city of Calamba and the towns of Los Baños and Bay.
It also aims to help the economic development of cities and towns in the 3rd and 4th districts of the province of Laguna by reducing travel time and increasing the mobility of goods and services.
It is seen as a potential catalyst for economic growth in the area by improving accessibility and connectivity , which can attract more investors and businesses to the region.
This agreement also highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing infrastructure challenges and promoting sustainable development.
The Ecotoll Road Development Corporation is committed to implementing sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the construction and operation of the toll road, ensuring minimal impact on the environment.
In the revised alignment plan, a viaduct was made instead of offshore structures to reduce its environmental impact on Laguna Lake.
