LUCENA CITY, Quezon - In response to the increase in crime in the area, the Lucena City Police Station has stated that it will intensify operations for its police anti-criminality campaign in order to safeguard the safety and security of the city's citizens and visitors by putting an end to criminal activity in the city.

The campaign will include increased police visibility and patrols, as well as collaboration with barangay officials and community leaders, to raise awareness and encourage cooperation in maintaining peace and order.

The Lucena PNP, according to PLTCOL Ruben Ballera Jr., Officer-in-Charge, is serious about suppressing all illegal activities in the city in order to maintain order, peace, and prosperity for its residents.

"This includes increasing police visibility in key areas and conducting regular patrols to deter criminal elements. The police station also encourages the public to report any suspicious activities or individuals to help them in their efforts to maintain peace and order in the city." Ballera said.

The police will continue anti-criminality operations, including the crime solution and prevention program, to ensure that the city remains a safe place to live and work.

"Second, we will speed up police response and intensify operations against illegal drugs, wanted people, and gambling. Finally, we will increase volunteerism and hold regular meetings with residents to improve community policing. We hope to improve community safety by doing so," he added.

The police station will also coordinate with other law enforcement agencies to strengthen their efforts in combating criminality and maintaining peace and order in the community.

He added that the public will receive regular updates on safety-related developments. The police station will work with other law enforcement agencies and local governments to keep the city safe.

"The Lucena PNP will intensify their presence in different corners of the city to ensure that the city is safe from accidents and crime. They will set up frequent checkpoints and patrols to deter criminals from operating in the area," the chief of the Lucena PNP said.

They will also conduct regular patrols and coordinate with barangay officials to gather information on suspicious activities and individuals.

Ballera emphasized that community involvement is crucial to maintaining a safe environment, and encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities to the authorities. He also assured the public that the police force is committed to upholding the law and protecting the rights of every individual in the city.

"We believe that community involvement is crucial in preventing crime and ensuring the safety of everyone. We encourage residents to participate in neighborhood watch programs and other initiatives that promote a safer environment for all." he said.

Moreover, the local government will implement measures to ensure road safety, such as installing traffic lights and speed bumps, and enforcing traffic rules and regulations. This holistic approach aims to create a secure and peaceful environment for residents and visitors alike.

In addition, the Mayor of Lucena City has also allocated funds for the training and deployment of additional police officers to patrol the streets and respond to emergency situations promptly. This proactive measure will enhance the city's law enforcement capabilities and deter criminal activities, further strengthening the community's sense of security.
