INFANTA, Quezon - Over 2,000 residents of this town benefited from the province of Quezon government's recent "Lingap sa Mamamayan, Libreng Gamutan" medical mission.
Medical services brought to this town include free medical check-ups, tooth extraction, minor surgery, EENT check-up, UTZ, X-Ray, ECG, FBS, Urinalysis, CBC, Ultrasound, circumcision, and PCV-13 vaccination.
The free treatment is being provided by East Avenue Medical Center, Batangas Medical Center, Rizal Medical Center, Quezon Medical Center, Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM), the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), and a few private doctors from the University of Santo Tomas.
Patients whose prescriptions the medical mission did not cover received financial assistance from the provincial government.
Quezon Governor Angelina Tan led the medical mission, emphasizing the importance of accessible healthcare for all residents.
She expressed her gratitude to the participating medical institutions and private doctors for their dedication to providing free services to those in need.
The Provincial Agriculturist Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Treasurer Office, Provincial Veterinary Office, and other provincial government offices took part in the activity to support the medical mission.
They provided assistance in coordinating logistics, ensuring the smooth flow of operations, and disseminating information to the local communities.
This collaborative effort showcased the commitment of the provincial government to address the healthcare needs of its residents comprehensively.
Meanwhile, Vice Mayor L.A. Ruanto served as the head of Infanta's local government, which expressed gratitude to the provincial government for providing medical care in their community.
He said that the collaboration between the provincial government and the local government of Infanta is crucial to ensuring the well-being of their residents.
He also expressed his hope that similar initiatives will continue to be implemented in the future to address the healthcare needs of their community.
