PAGBILAO, Quezon - This town provided 73 television sets for Grade 7 and 8 classrooms at Pagbilao National High School, Talipan National High School, Pagbilao Grande Island NHS, Silangang Malicboy NHS, and Binahaan Integrated School (BIS) .
The provision of these television sets aims to enhance the learning experience of students by incorporating multimedia resources into their lessons. This initiative is a testament to the town's commitment to improving the quality of education in its schools.
Pagbilao Mayor Angelica Portes led the distribution of equipment for the Brigada Eskuwela of public schools in Pagbilao on June 16 in preparation for the School Year 2023-2024.
The School Brigade is a program that encourages students to practice discipline, leadership, and service. Uniforms, caps, armbands, and cleaning supplies were among the items distributed.
In her message, the Mayor emphasized the importance of education and adapting the tools available to cultivate the potential of young people.
The mayor also announced the implementation of free WiFi in Districts I and II, which has already begun at Bukal and Bigo Elementary Schools.
In addition, a stage for Bagumbungan Elementary School and a perimeter fence for Polo North Elementary School are being built.
The distribution of said equipment was held at Pagbilao Central Elementary School and BIS, which was attended by district supervisors, principals, and head teachers who were very grateful to those who received it.
The local government also turned over the 40-footer container van at the DepEd Division Office at the same time.
