IMUS CITY, Cavite - After recently signing an agreement with the Land Bank of the Philippines, PENRO Cavite has ordered the implementation of online fee payment for visitors to the Mts. Palay-Palay-Mataas-Na-Gulod Protected Landscape.
DENR Calabarzon said the agreement aims to speed up the payment process for hikers in the said protected area and the collection and remittance of the Integrated Protected Area Fund, or IPAF.
This move is in line with the government's efforts to promote contactless transactions and ensure the safety of both visitors and park personnel amid the ongoing pandemic.
With this new system, visitors can conveniently pay their fees, making their trip to the protected landscape hassle-free and more secure.
Starting this May, local tourists or hikers can pay a P200 fee, while foreigners pay P300, through any of Landbank's ePayment models.
The park is open from Friday to Saturday. Only ninety hikers are allowed inside the park per day, and only those who make reservations and book online can enter.
The ePayment model is the first electronic payment method for the collection and remittance of IPAF in all DENR offices nationwide.
