TERESA, Rizal - More than one hundred beneficiaries of the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) attended the most recent orientation, which was held in Teresa and Pililla.
SPES's overarching goal is to encourage greater cooperation among young people in the community and to provide opportunities for advancement in their careers.
The beneficiaries underwent various training and workshops to equip them with skills that are relevant to their chosen fields.
The orientation aimed to inform the beneficiaries about their roles and responsibilities, as well as the guidelines they needed to follow while participating in the program.
During the orientation, representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) also discussed the benefits that SPES provides, such as giving students an opportunity to earn money while gaining work experience.
Employment Focal Person Abigail Gilpo discussed with the beneficiaries of the program the details of their work and the expectations placed on them by their employer.
She said that the beneficiaries should treat their work seriously and with dedication, as it is a valuable opportunity to develop their skills and work ethic.
She emphasized the importance of punctuality and attendance in the workplace, as these are crucial factors in maintaining a good reputation and building a successful career.
The beneficiaries will be distributed to different offices in their respective municipalities and will have the chance to interact with different professionals, learn from them, and expand their network.
It is also important for them to communicate effectively with their colleagues and superiors, as this can lead to better collaboration and a more positive work environment.
Each of them will receive a salary that they can use for their study expenses for the next school year , which can help alleviate the financial burden of pursuing their education.
Furthermore, this program can serve as a stepping stone for their future careers, as they gain valuable work experience and skills that can be applied in their chosen fields.
