IMUS CITY, Cavite - At least 400 job applicants were hired-on-the-spot during the Job Matching Activity held by Imus PESO at Robinson's Place here on July 13, 2023.
Job seekers had the opportunity to interact with hiring managers, submit resumes, and participate in on-the-spot interviews.
The job fair was organized by the provincial government of Imus City in collaboration with Cavite State University-Imus Campus, Pag-IBIG, the Social Security System (SSS), and the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) (PhilHealth).
According to the City of Imus, more than 21 private company representatives were present at the job fair, offering a variety of job opportunities in industries such as manufacturing, retail, and services.
City Councilor Mark Villanueva, Chair of the Committee on Labor, Employment, and Industrial Peace, emphasized the importance of job fairs in bridging the gap between job seekers and employers.
He stressed that these events provide a platform for individuals to explore various career options and for companies to find suitable candidates for their vacancies.
He noted that the collaboration between the City Government and various organizations demonstrates their commitment to promoting employment opportunities and improving the livelihood of Imus residents.
Job matching is one of Imus PESO's activities aimed at assisting residents in finding jobs that match their skills and interests.
By facilitating job matching, Imus PESO ensures that individuals are placed in positions where they can thrive and contribute to the growth of the local economy.
This initiative benefits not only job seekers, but also the community's overall development and prosperity.
