SANTA CRUZ, Laguna -Men do not have a month to celebrate their manhood and achievements, but this province honors and recognizes their contributions to society on their founding day.
In celebration of the 452nd anniversary of the founding of the province of Laguna, the Laguna Day for Men Celebration was held through Spiritual Upliftment at the Cultural Center in Santa Cruz.
It was facilitated by the Moral Development Office, led by Ptr. Jun Jaralbe, in collaboration with the Provincial Gender and Development Office.
The pastor said that the Laguna Day for Men Celebration aimed to highlight the importance of men's role in society and promote their spiritual growth and well-being.
He emphasized that honoring and recognizing men's contributions does not diminish the achievements of women but rather seeks to create a more inclusive and balanced society.
The collaboration between the Moral Development Office and the Provincial Gender and Development Office reflects the province's commitment to promoting gender equality and fostering a supportive environment for all its residents.
The event featured various activities and programs that focused on empowering men and promoting their overall well-being.
These activities included workshops on healthy masculinity, discussions on mental health and emotional well-being, and sessions on fatherhood and positive parenting.
By addressing these issues, the event aimed to break down societal stereotypes and encourage men to actively participate in creating a more equal society.
In addition, the programs also emphasized the importance of allyship and solidarity between men and women in achieving gender equality.
Male employees from various government offices attended it, along with representatives from local businesses and community organizations.
The event provided a platform for participants to engage in open discussions and share their experiences, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual support.
It also offered practical tools and resources to help men navigate the challenges they may face in promoting gender equality in their personal and professional lives.
