Super health center to rise in Tiaong

TIAONG, Quezon - A Super Health Center will soon to rise in Tiaong, Quezon, to provide advanced medical services and facilities to the community at an affordable cost.

Tiaong Mayor RJ Mea said that Tiaong Super Health Center in Brgy. Ayusan II is dream come true for the people of Tiaong, as they have long been in need of a modern and accessible healthcare facility.



"The Tiaong Super Health Center will not only cater to the medical needs of the residents but also contribute to the overall development and progress of the municipality. " he said.

He expressed gratitude to 2nd District Representative Cong. David Suarez, who help funded the construction of the Tiaong Super Health Center, as well as to the local government officials and stakeholders who supported the project.

Mea also emphasized that the new healthcare facility will not only improve the quality of life for the residents but also attract investments and boost economic growth in the area.

The establishment of the Tiaong Super Health Center, according to Suarez, is a significant milestone for the community. Other primary healthcare and maternity facilities will be integrated into the center to provide residents with comprehensive healthcare services.

“A super health center can serve for birthing services, dental, ultra sounds, vaccinations,” added Suarez

Dr. Kris Conrad Mangunay, Provincial Health Officer,representatives of Gov. Anglina Tan said that a hospital near the people is a crucial aspect of ensuring accessible healthcare.

He said by integrating primary healthcare and maternity facilities into the super health center, residents will have convenient access to a wide range of medical services.

This initiative reflects the commitment of local government officials of the governor to prioritize the well-being of their constituents and improve overall community health.

Meanwhile Dr. Ariel Valencia, Regional Director, DOH Region IV-A, said the Super Health Center is part of the implementation of the Universal Health Law, which aims to provide equitable and quality healthcare services to all Filipinos.

With the establishment of the Super Health Center, the government is taking a significant step towards achieving this goal and ensuring that no one is left behind in terms of accessing essential medical care.

This initiative also aligns with the global movement towards universal healthcare coverage, promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities for health services for every individual in the community.

The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of construction, bringing hope for improved healthcare accessibility and quality in the area in Brgy. Ayusan II, Tiaong, Quezon, on July 4, 2023.

Attending the said ceremony were Mayor Vincent Arjay Mea, Cong. David Suarez, Dr. Ariel Valencia, Regional Director, DOH Region IV-A, Dr. Kris Conrad Mangunay, Provincial Health Officer, as representatives of Gov. Anglina Tan, Dr. Juvy Paz Purino, Quezon Provincial Health Team Leader, Dr. Elizalde Bercero Jr., Municipal Health Officer, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan.

As part of the ceremony, a time capsule was buried at the construction site of the upcoming Tiaong Super Health Center to symbolize the commitment and dedication of the local government in providing quality healthcare services to the community.

The time capsule contains various items that represent the current state of healthcare in Tiaong, as well as hopes and aspirations for its future development.

In addition, the town of Tiaong is the first in the Province of Quezon where the permit application for the Primary Healthcare Facility is under regular review by the DOH.

The collaboration between the HFEP, DOH, and local government showcases a strong dedication to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that the community's healthcare needs are met effectively.
