TIAONG, Quezon - A new birthing home that aims to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for pregnant women and both mothers and newborns, offering a range of prenatal and postnatal care services with a team of experienced healthcare professionals, recently opened.

The RHU Lying-in Clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities, and a team of highly trained healthcare professionals strives to promote maternal and infant health through comprehensive medical assistance and support, according to an official Facebook post from the Municipal Health Office led by Dr. Elizalde Bercero Jr., MPH, Municipal Health Officer.

He stated that the goal of the birthing home is to provide quality healthcare to pregnant women in a comfortable and safe environment.

The facility is designed to meet the unique needs of expectant mothers, ensuring that they receive the best possible care during childbirth, reducing home births, increasing facility-based delivery in Tiaong Town, and protecting our pregnant mothers from pregnancy-related complications and childbirth risks.

The Tiaong RHU Lying-in Clinic is a DOH-licensed birthing facility that will soon be PhilHealth accredited, allowing eligible patients to avail of the benefits and financial support provided by PhilHealth for their maternity care.

It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and pregnant women with normal or low-risk pregnancies can give birth in a safe and comfortable setting with the assistance of skilled healthcare professionals.

The clinic has modern medical equipment and qualified healthcare workers on staff who have been trained to handle a variety of complications that may arise during childbirth.

The clinic also provides prenatal and postnatal care to improve the overall health of expectant mothers and their babies , ensuring that they receive the necessary medical attention and support throughout their pregnancy journey.

The Lying-in Clinic also offers Maternal Care Services, Essential Newborn Care Services, Metabolic Disorder Screening for Newborns, and Newborn Hearing Screening Services.

These additional services aim to ensure the well-being and proper development of both mother and baby, addressing any potential health issues or concerns that may arise during the early stages of parenthood.

Meanwhile, the town hopes that this new addition will improve maternal and child health outcomes and ensure that every woman has access to proper healthcare during pregnancy and childbirth.

The town recognizes the importance of early detection and intervention for hearing loss in newborns, as it can significantly impact their language development and overall quality of life.

Additionally, this initiative aligns with the town's commitment to promoting inclusive healthcare practices and ensuring equal opportunities for all children in their community.
