GUINAYANGAN, Quezon - A series of weeklong activities by the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation of Guinayangan in celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2023 kicked off recently.
The Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation of Guinayangan, headed by its president, Vincent Del Rosario, and the Local Youth Developmental Office, led by Mariel Apolonio, are collaborating to organize a variety of events aimed at empowering and engaging the youth of Guinayangan.
These activities include leadership workshops, sports competitions, cultural showcases, and community service projects.
With the support of local government officials and various youth organizations, the weeklong celebration promises to be a memorable and impactful experience for the young residents of Guinayangan.
The Linggo ng Kabataan with the theme "Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World" aims to promote environmental awareness and encourage the youth to develop skills that contribute to a sustainable future.
Through interactive workshops and educational sessions, participants will learn about eco-friendly practices and innovative solutions to address environmental challenges.
The event also provides a platform for young people to showcase their talents and ideas, fostering creativity and inspiring them to become agents of change in their community.
Food packs from the local government's Municipal Social Welfare Development (MSWD), led by Jeric Leope, and school supplies from SK were also distributed to participants to support their basic needs and encourage their continued involvement in environmental initiatives.
This holistic approach ensures that the event not only educates and empowers young people, but also supports their overall well-being and development.
