MULANAY, Quezon - The Mulanay Municipal Government recently completed a project that aims to improve accessibility and ensure the safety of residents by providing a well-paved pathway for vehicles and pedestrians.
The turnover of the Tire Path project was held on August 3, 2023, in Brgy. Bolo, Mulanay, Quezon.
The Tire Path project, with a total cost of 356,055 pesos, will greatly benefit the community by enhancing transportation infrastructure and promoting ease of movement.
The said funds come from DSWD through KALAHI-CIDSS, the Local Government of Mulanay led by Mayor Aris Aguirre and Vice Mayor Jay Esplana Castilleja, and the Sangguniang Barangay of Bolo.
The Tire Path project aims to provide a durable and accessible pathway for residents, especially during the rainy season when the roads become muddy and impassable. It is expected to greatly improve transportation and facilitate easier movement within the barangay.
The construction of the said project was completed in only twenty one (21) days with the cooperation of the Sangguniang Barangay of Bolo and all the volunteers.
According to the captain of Brgy. Bolo, Alfredo Pegoria Jr., they are very happy that this project has been completed because his villagers will no longer have difficulty getting their goods to the market, including the students going to school.
He believes that this project will greatly improve the overall quality of life in their community and enhance economic opportunities for the residents.
The barangay captain also expressed his gratitude to the volunteers and the Sangguniang Barangay for their dedication and hard work in making this project a success.
