TAYTAY, Rizal - The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) has pledged to take a holistic approach against illegal drugs.
Intensified measures and operations have been implemented to combat the province's drug problem, and according to the Rizal PPO, it recently arrested two drug personalities, including one considered to be a highly valued individual in the sale of illegal drugs, in separate operations in San Mateo and Antipolo City, Rizal.
Authorities in Rizal PPO confiscated more than 106 grams of shabu worth Php723,384.00 from the accused.
The arrested suspects are currently in the custody of the respective operating units of the San Mateo and Antipolo City Police Stations, while the confiscated evidence has been submitted to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for forensic examination and disposition.
The two arrested face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, or RA 9165.
Emphasized by P/Col. Dominic Baccay, Rizal PPO Director, said that the police of Rizal will not stop suppressing illegal drug dealers in the province.
"The Rizal PNP ensures that the people and province of Rizal are safe from illegal activities, illegal drugs, and criminality," said Baccay.
Baccay also praised the successful operation of the police and affirmed that they will be more diligent to catch people who continue to enjoy and sell illegal drugs in the province.
He said this is also part of the preparation of the police in relation to the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections and to prevent any disturbance or other criminality.
These recent arrests and seizures demonstrate the effectiveness of the intensified measures and operations against illegal drugs in the province.
The Rizal PPO's success in apprehending a highly valued individual involved in the sale of illegal drugs sends a strong message to other drug personalities that they will not go unpunished.
