DOLORES, Quezon - .Residents may now experience a new OTOP product hub in their province with the inauguration of the third OTOP Philippines Hub in Gumaca. This center will include a wide range of locally manufactured products, encouraging and supporting local entrepreneurs and artisans.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) formally launched yesterday, in collaboration with the Local Government of Dolores under the leadership of Mayor Orlan Calayag, the official opening of the One-Town, One Product Philippines Hub, or OTOP PH HUB Dolores, located at Tourism Building Brgy. Eastern Dolores, Quezon.
The OTOP PH HUB Dolores aims to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase their products and generate income for the community.
This initiative is part of the government's efforts to promote and support local industries, ultimately contributing to the economic growth of the region.
This is the first OTOP Ph Hub operated by an LGU in the entire Region 1V-A and the third in the entire province of Quezon with an OTOP PH Hub.
The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, under the leadership of Dr. Ana Clarissa Mariano, Provincial Agriculturist, was led by DTI Provincial Director Julieta Tadiosa, with Anna Marie Quincina, DC-BDD of DTI Quezon, and other representatives from various offices and agencies present during the inauguration of the OTOP PH Hub.
Among those who participated were DTI OIC-Assistant Regional Director Revelyn Cortes, Mayor Orlan Calayag, Norida Villaruel as representative of the Vice Mayor Office of Dolores, Provincial Tourism Officer Nesler Louies Almagro, Municipal Agriculturist Eldrin Rubico, and PRICMPC Manager Cristina Q. Generoso.
This will be the central market for greetings and souvenir products that the Town of Dolores is proud of. Its purpose is to give local entrepreneurs the opportunity to sell their own products to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME).
