TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - Cavite Provincial Jail (CPJ) has been a significant institution in the province, serving as a correctional facility for the past 65 years. Over the years, it has played a crucial role in rehabilitating and reintegrating individuals back into society, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of Cavite.
On its founding anniversary on September 8, 2023, the CPJ has planned a series of activities and events to commemorate its 65 years of service.
These include a thanksgiving mass, a program showcasing the success stories of former inmates, and a community outreach program aimed at raising awareness about the importance of rehabilitation and reintegration. The anniversary celebration not only honors the institution's history but also highlights its commitment to continue making a positive impact on the lives of individuals within Cavite.
Roland Costales, Assistant Provincial Warden, commended the efforts and dedication of the provincial jail unit personnel, highlighting their commitment to maintaining order and ensuring the safety of both inmates and staff.
He emphasized the importance of their role in the rehabilitation process, acknowledging the challenging nature of their work and expressing gratitude for their unwavering commitment to upholding justice within the correctional facility.
Furthermore, he instilled in everyone the importance of always pursuing goodness in their actions and congratulated everyone on CPJ's achievements, including the LINKod Beyond Bars program qualifying for the national validation for the Galing Pook Awards.
Following the presentation of jail accomplishments, the CPJ Personnel Performance Award and Appreciation Award were presented, recognizing employees who excelled and performed their duties well, contributing to the overall success of CPJ.
The PDLs enjoyed the 65th founding anniversary party, which included entertaining intermission numbers and parlor games. Cavite Provincial Jail was established in 1958 and has since evolved into a progressive institution that provides a supportive atmosphere for PDLs, providing them with hope, chances, and a road to a better future.
