BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas Provincial Government has formally started the celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) to recognize and honor the dedication and service of civil servants in the province.
Government employees and public servants from various local government units and government agencies gathered during the flag-raising ceremony of the Capitol on September 4, 2023, at the Regina R. Mandanas Memorial DREAM Zone, Capitol Compound, Batangas City, to pay tribute to the hard work and commitment of civil servants in Batangas.
The event was spearheaded by the Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO) and aimed to recognize and appreciate the dedication of civil servants in Batangas.
Governor Hermilando Mandanas and Vice Governor Mark Leviste welcomed the participants and expressed their gratitude for the public servants' dedication and commitment to both their work and physical well-being.
The governor encouraged his co-public servants to continue serving the people with the utmost diligence and compassion.
During the program, several public servants participated in the Governor's Cup: Inter-Department Sports Festival 2023, which was managed by the Provincial Assistance for Community Development Office.
The Governor's Cup served as a platform for fostering camaraderie and promoting a healthy lifestyle among government employees, further strengthening their bond as they competed in various sports activities.
There was a blood-letting activity, and 75 bags of blood were collected, which will be used for medical emergencies in the province.
The activity was facilitated by PHRMO, along with the Philippine Red Cross and Batangas Medical Center, which provided the necessary equipment and medical personnel to ensure the success and safety of the blood-letting activity.
There are also free manicures and pedicures, massages, hair cuts, and free dental check-up services provided during the event.
Participants were able to relax and pamper themselves while also taking care of their health. These additional services added to the overall enjoyment and well-being of the participants, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among them.
Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing recognition of the Office of the Provincial Governor and PHRMO by the staff of the provincial government, Dr. Rosalie Masangkay, Assistant Department Head of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) was recognized as the highest performing scholar by the Development Academy of the Philippines(DAP).
Dr. Masangkay's achievement is a testament to her dedication and expertise in her field and serves as an inspiration to her colleagues in the provincial government.
The recognition highlights the commitment of the Office of the Provincial Governor and PHRMO to fostering excellence and recognizing outstanding performance among their staff members.
In a statement, Dr. Masangkay expressed her gratitude for the support and guidance she received from her team and emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving success.
She also mentioned that this recognition motivates her to continue striving for excellence in her work and to further contribute to the improvement of healthcare services in the province.
The 123rd PCSA celebration is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, Series of 1997, declaring the month of September as Civil Service Month.
During the event, various government agencies and employees were recognized for their outstanding contributions to public service.
The PCSA celebration serves as a reminder of the dedication and commitment of civil servants in serving the Filipino people.
