ALFONSO, Cavite - This town is beginning work on an operations center to better coordinate emergency response efforts. The operations center will serve as a central hub for real-time communication and collaboration among various emergency response agencies, including police, fire departments, and medical services.
Alfonso Mayor Randy Salamat, who led the recent groundbreaking on September 18, 2023, said that the new operations center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and will serve as a hub for coordinating emergency response efforts.
Additionally, Mayor Salamat mentioned that the operations center will also house training facilities to ensure that emergency personnel are well-prepared for any situation they may encounter.
Salamat said the facility is intended to improve the service of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO), especially when it comes to rescuing people.
“Sa pag unlad ng bayan dapat hindi naiiwan ang seguridad kaya ang facility na ito ay upang mas ma improve pa ng ating MDRRMO ( Rescue ) ang kanilang serbisyo sa bawat Alfonseños,” he said on Facebook.
According to the mayor, the municipal government would also acquire new ambulances for the MDRRMO to improve its emergency response capabilities.
These new ambulances will further enhance the capabilities of the MDRRMO in responding to emergencies and providing immediate medical assistance.
The acquisition of these vehicles demonstrates the commitment of the municipal government to prioritize the safety and well-being of its residents.
