SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna - San Pablo City (SPC), a bustling town in Laguna Province, recently took a second proactive stance against the rampant issue of illegal drugs by hosting a groundbreaking summit that focused on combating the drug problem.
The summit held at the Convention Center brought together key stakeholders, including government officials, law enforcement agencies, and community leaders, to discuss strategies and initiatives aimed at eradicating illegal drugs in the city.
The event served as a platform for sharing best practices, exchanging ideas, and fostering collaboration among different sectors in the fight against drug abuse.
CADAC focal/BSRF in-charge Purificacion Morales, who spearheaded the summit, emphasized the importance of collaboration between government agencies, private companies, and educational institutions in creating a comprehensive drug prevention program.
She also highlighted the need for continuous training and education to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to address drug-related issues effectively.
Vice Mayor Justin Colago also mentioned Mayor Vic Amante's strong support for the summit and his commitment to combating illegal drugs in the community.
He emphasized that the mayor's leadership and dedication are crucial in ensuring the success of the drug prevention program.
Meanwhile PLtCol. Wilhelmino Saldivar, Jr., SPC Chief of Police, said through PSMS Celso Torres that the city has attained a high number of drug-cleared barangays that have also brought down drug-related crimes.
This achievement reflects the effectiveness of the city's comprehensive approach to addressing the drug problem.
