TAYTAY, Rizal - On the occasion of the 4th Philippine Sangguniang Kabataan Awards, the Taytay SK Federation and the SK Councils of Barangay San Isidro received recognition for their initiatives for the youth.
The Taytay SK Federation was recently hailed as one of the Hall of Famer, Sangguniang Kabataan Face of Good Governance for their exemplary performance and dedication in serving the youth of Taytay. This recognition is a testament to their unwavering commitment to promoting the welfare and empowerment of the youth in their community.
Rizal Governor Nina Ynares also commended the San Isidro SK for their outstanding efforts in providing opportunities and support for the youth.
In a Facebook post, she said they are one of the reasons why the province of Rizal receives many awards every year and continues to thrive in empowering the next generation of leaders.
When each barangay works together to prioritize the needs and development of the youth, it creates a ripple effect that positively impacts the entire province.
"Isa sila sa dahilan kung bakit taon-taon nalang ay madaming parangal din ang natatanggap ng lalawigan ng Rizal. Kapag ang bawat barangay ay nagpapakitang gilas, dala ng mga ito ang buong lalawigan," she said.
She emphasized the importance of recognizing and celebrating the achievements of young leaders who are making a positive impact in their communities.
Taytay SK Federation said that the award is a testament to the hard work, effort, and dedication of the SK Federation.
They continue to create effective and rewarding programs and projects to raise the standard of living for every youth in San Isidro and empower them to become active and responsible members of society.
Among the programs and services of the SK are community clean-up drives, skills training workshops, and sports development activities.
Additionally, the SK Federation actively collaborates with local government units and non-government organizations to maximize resources and ensure the success of their projects.
The San Isidro Youth Development Council has partnered with Sangguniang Kabataan in the development of the Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan. This is a 3-year development plan that will include priority projects and programs for youth.
