BINANGONAN, Rizal - As part of the National Greening Program, the Yes to Green Program, and the Municipal Environment Program, the local government here has been actively organizing tree planting activities and recently held a successful event where over 3000 seedlings were planted in Binangonan.

These initiatives aim to restore and protect the environment, increase green spaces, and combat climate change. The planting of over 3000 seedlings is just one of the many efforts made by the local government to promote a sustainable and eco-friendly community.

According to the local government, seedlings and bamboo saplings were planted on 91 hectares of land in Municipal Timberland, Mount Tagapo, Talim Island, and other designated areas.

The successful planting of over 3000 seedlings is a significant step towards achieving a greener and more sustainable future for Binangonan.

The event was attended by volunteers, local residents, and government officials who recognize the importance of reforestation in preserving biodiversity and mitigating the effects of climate change. They are from the barangays of Janosa, Buhangin, Kaytome, Gulod, Malakaban, and Sapang.

Various sectors participated in the natural activities led by Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Reynaldo Bonita, YES Secretariat Tracy Tunque, and Liga President Hon. Henry Arambulo, MENRO Engr. Isidro Pacis Jr., MENRO Secretary Jenifer Recio, RENRO Ms. Gemma Sibolboro, and the police force.

The activities included tree planting, seedling distribution, and environmental awareness campaigns. These efforts aim to restore and protect the local ecosystems, enhance carbon sequestration, and promote sustainable livelihoods for the communities involved. Their collaboration ensured the success of the event and highlighted the importance of environmental conservation in the community.
