GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite - In line with the Cavite Provincial Government's chairmanship of 15th Regional Conference of the Philippine Association of General Services Officers, Inc. (PAGSO), this year hosts the most prestigious event in the province.
This conference, which serves as a platform for General Services Officers from different regions to exchange knowledge and best practices in public service management, was held on September 27–29, 2023, at the Bayleaf Hotel, City of Gen. Trias.
This year's theme, “Consistency and Resiliency Amidst Adversity” set the tone for insightful discussions, engaging workshops, and networking opportunities among the attendees from various government agencies.
The conference aimed to address the challenges faced by general services officers in maintaining consistent and resilient public service delivery, especially in times of adversity such as natural disasters or economic downturns.
With a diverse range of speakers and panelists, the event provided valuable insights and strategies for attendees to enhance their skills and adapt to changing circumstances in their respective roles.
The conference brought together over 200 attendees from the provinces of Region IV-A, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration among professionals in various fields.
Participants had the opportunity to share their expertise, learn from one another, and establish valuable connections that will continue to drive innovation and progress in the region.
The conference's featured an inspiring keynote address of Gen. Trias City Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen, on behalf of Mayor Luis “JonJon” Ferrer, emphasizing the critical role of general services officers in ensuring transparent and efficient public procurement.
Highlights of the event were the workshops and panel discussions that catered to the diverse needs of attendees. Topics covered included quality management, GSIS insurance, PPE one-time cleaning, disposal, and PPE inventory with an accounting system.
Apart from the informative sessions, the conference provided ample opportunities for networking and collaboration through a dinner hosted by PAGSO-Cavite, which allowed attendees to unwind and build relationships in a relaxed atmosphere.
