ANGONO, Rizal - Colgate-Palmolive Philippines Inc. has helped improve the oral health of children here ages 4 to 5 through their Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program (BSBF).
During the launch of the BSBF program on October 17, 2023, they distributed oral care kits for children that included toothbrushes, toothpaste, and educational materials on proper oral hygiene.
The program aims to instill good dental habits at an early age and raise awareness about the importance of oral health in the community.
Some also underwent dental check-ups to identify any existing dental issues and provide necessary treatment.
The BSBF program not only focuses on preventive measures but also ensures that children receive proper dental care if needed.
The activity that was also attended by parents included interactive workshops on dental care and oral hygiene, where they learned about the proper techniques for brushing and flossing.
Parents were also given resources and information on how to maintain their children's oral health at home, promoting a holistic approach to dental care within the community.
The event was successful with the help of the local government of Angono, led by Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon and Vice Mayor Gerry Calderon, along with dentists and volunteers from the Municipal Health Office and local dental clinics.
They provided free dental check-ups and treatments to the attendees, ensuring that everyone had access to quality oral healthcare.
Educational materials were distributed to further reinforce the importance of regular dental visits and proper oral hygiene practices.
